Southern California's Mako Shark fishery is one of the wildest and most unique BIG GAME opportunities for a saltwater fly fisherman. These are one of the fastest, most acrobatic sharks in the ocean. Averaging 80 to 150 lbs, with rare sightings of Makos in excess of 500lbs, these fish produce lightning strong runs, often going airborne for numerous jumping flips during the fight.
